European Agreement On Main International Traffic Arteries Of 15 November 1975

The European road network is the responsibility of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). This is provided for in the European Agreement on the Main International Arteries (AGR) of 15 November 1975 in Geneva. More information can be found on the UNECE website (www.unece.org). The International Electronic Road Network is a road numbering system in Europe developed by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The network is numbered from E1 to 5 and its roads cross national borders. It also reaches Central Asian countries, such as Kyrgyzstan, since they are members of the UNECE.
